Job summary

Capstone Research Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a Digital Engineer with a strong background in systems engineering, MBSE, software development, and modeling & simulation to deliver advanced DoD capabilities. You will apply modern digital engineering methodologies, build integrated models, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on IAMD/JTIFC initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a technical field, 8–12 years of relevant experience, and an active U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) required.
• 8-12 years of relevant systems engineering, MBSE, software, or modeling & simulation experience.
• Hands-on with systems engineering principles, requirements, interfaces, and verification.
• Experience using Cameo Enterprise Architecture and UML/SysML knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java or similar for software integration.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support digital engineering projects integrating systems engineering, MBSE, software, and M&S to develop defense capabilities.
• Develop and maintain traceable digital engineering models linking requirements, architectures, and verification activities.
• Create system architectures using SysML/UAFML and Cameo tools, ensuring traceability across artifacts.
• Collaborate with software teams to translate architectures into software designs and executable models.
• Integrate MBSE with physics-based and mission-level M&S for performance assessments.
• Prepare technical analyses, models, and contractual deliverables for government customers.
