Randstad, in partnership with our client, is seeking a passionate, self‑motivated Senior Digital Electrical Engineer for a Direct Hire on‑site opportunity in Billerica, MA. If you love complex system designs and seeing hardware come to life from prototype to production, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll collaborate with Product Management, Software, Mechanical and Systems teams to translate requirements into hardware, perform hands‑on debugging and prototype testing, and guide designs into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of robust board design experience.
• Strong background in high‑speed digital design, embedded processors, and interfaces (PCIe, DDR3/DDR4, Ethernet).
• FPGA board design experience with AMD Xilinx devices (Artix/Kintex 7, Ultrascale, Zynq).
• Ability to debug and integrate hardware in lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate project and system requirements into hardware designs and boards.
• Perform hands‑on debugging, prototype testing, and transition designs to production.
• Lead tasks and communicate updates to project leadership and customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Engineer, you will get your hands dirty with complex system designs, working closely with Product Management, Software, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering teams.

• Translate project and system requirements into beautifully defined hardware designs and boards.
• Enjoy hands‑on debugging, prototype testing, and seeing your designs transition seamlessly into production.

• Lead task groups and effectively communicate updates to project leadership and customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Core Technical Skills: Strong background in high‑speed digital design, embedded processors, and interfaces (PCIe, DDR3/DDR4, Ethernet, 1553, SERDES, MIPI, etc.).
• FPGA Expertise: Solid experience with FPGA board design, specifically AMD Xilinx devices (Artix/Kintex 7, Ultrascale, Zynq 7000, and Zynq MPSoC).
• Lab Comfort: A genuine love for integrating and debugging systems in the lab.
• Soft Skills: Top‑notch communication, great time management, and a natural ability to prioritize tasks with an eye for detail.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with Mentor Graphics PADs or Altium Schematic and Layout Tools.
• Familiarity with AMD/Xilinx FPGA/SOC design flow tools.
