Job summary

Renesas is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Digital Engineer to lead verification and evidence development for control-loop features in advanced digital power management products.

You will translate feature intent into measurable test plans and pass/fail criteria, and develop reusable verification methods across models, RTL, and silicon. Collaboration across teams is essential to identify gaps and ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in digital power control, mixed-signal verification or related product development.
• Strong understanding of feedback control systems (compensation, stability, bandwidth, latency).
• Experience verifying control-loop features with measurable evidence.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal blocks: ADCs, DACs, sensing paths, PWM, timing, power stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification and evidence development for digital control-loop features and functions.
• Translate feature requirements into measurable verification plans and pass/fail criteria.
• Verify control-loop behavior across operating conditions, configurations, and corner cases.
• Develop tests covering compensation, stability, bandwidth, transient response, latency, sampling, and saturation.
• Correlate behavior across behavioral models, RTL, analog/mixed-signal sim, emulation, bench validation, and silicon where applicable.
• Investigate discrepancies between expected behavior and results from simulations or silicon.
• Collaborate with systems, analog/digital design, firmware, validation, and software/tool teams.
