Infinity Healthcare Consulting is seeking a Dietary Manager to assist the Dietitian in planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and as directed by the Administrator.

This role ensures quality nutritional services are provided daily and that the dietary department remains clean, safe, and sanitary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates dietary services and activities with Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services and other departments.
• Assists in developing departmental policies, procedures, equipment and supplies.
• Assists in developing preliminary and comprehensive dietary assessments for residents.
• Assists in creating written dietary plans of care and goals for dietary issues.
• Schedules care plans and assessments for committee meetings.
• Ensures care plans are used in daily dietary services.
• Identifies required equipment and utensils for residents per care plans.
• Reviews and revises care plans and assessments at least quarterly.
• Provides substitute foods with similar nutritive value when residents refuse meals.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment safely and sanitation standards.
• Inspects food storage and utility areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Processes diet changes and new diets from nursing services.
• Identifies and records tasks with potential exposure to bio-fluids.
• Assists in planning dietary services portion of discharge plans.
• Participates in facility surveys and inspections by authorities.
• Interviews residents or families to obtain diet history.
• Develops methods to determine quality and quantity of food served.
• Ensures dietary progress notes are informative and describe resident response.
