Job summary

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a Diesel Technician for the Second Shift in Omaha, NE. This full-time role focuses on advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and powertrain systems, including Allison transmissions.

The position requires senior-level diesel experience, strong diagnostic skills with OEM software, and ability to troubleshoot non-routine failures. A CDL is preferred or must be obtained. Competitive benefits and long-term growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience.
• Exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling.
• Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products.
• CDL or willingness to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems.
• High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of Diesel engines and Allison transmissions.
• Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems.
• In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Interpreting OEM diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service literature.
• Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise.
• Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time.
