Job summary
Riverside Transport in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician I/II to repair and diagnose diesel trucks. You will work on engines, drivetrains, fuel systems, and vehicle electronics using a structured troubleshooting approach.
Ideal candidates hold a one-year technical certificate or ASE Diesel Certification, with 3–5 years of related experience preferred. CDL is a plus; duties include ensuring safety and accuracy in repairs of EGR/DPF/turbo systems.
Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school.
- ASE Diesel Certification or 3–6 months related training.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and speak before groups of customers or employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties of Technician I and II.
- Record clear notes and charge out parts used in TINA.
- Tag removed parts for warranty.
- Diagnose and repair codes using the troubleshooting tree.
- Repair oil and coolant leaks (e.g., EGR cooler, water pumps, seals).
- Repair drivelines and fuel systems (pumps, injectors).
- Work on EGR, ATD, DPF, and turbo systems.
- Understand truck electronics and APUs for basic repairs.
