Job summary

Ryder in Findlay, Ohio seeks a Senior Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy duty vehicles. You’ll perform standard and preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and mentor junior techs while adhering to safety and DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
• Experience repairing automotive gas or diesel engines and performing routine maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical/electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred and able to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance and diagnostics on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
• Completes inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and support fleet operations.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, and company compliance guidelines.
