Ryder System, Inc. in Gainesville, FL is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician to service heavy‑duty vehicles on the 3:00 pm–11:30 pm shift. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and hands-on repair in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy- and medium-duty equipment.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification encouraged.
• Proficient with PC, diagnostic tools, and electronics systems.

Aufgaben

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including routine and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Replace defective components and complete detailed inspections with minimal supervision.
• Interface with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels; apply compliance guidelines (DOT/MOT).
