Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician II in Daytona Beach, FL. You will perform both major and minor repairs, conduct road tests, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers. The role involves mentoring newer technicians and advancing skills through Penske’s training program.

You’ll work with a variety of OEM equipment, receive fair shift differentials, and benefit from strong technician support and ongoing education. An equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to work well in a team; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe; log and research repairs using Penske tools and technologies.
• Learn Penske’s technician training and adapt to new diagnostics and OEM equipment.
