Transdev in Augusta, GA is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines across vehicles and equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and longevity of diesel assets and offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires 5 years of diesel experience, ASE certifications, and ability to work shifts. DOT testing and physicals may apply; training and ASE testing are provided by the company.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient repairs.
• Lead PMs, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Overhaul and rebuild diesel engine components to specifications.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and mentor staff.
