Job summary

United Ag & Turf, a John Deere dealership with locations across Texas, is seeking a skilled Service Technician in Texas. You will diagnose and repair agricultural, construction, and turf equipment, mentor junior technicians, and ensure accurate, timely documentation on work orders.

This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with experience using diagnostic tools and Service ADVISOR.

Qualifications

• Experience performing service repairs.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong documentation of diagnostics and repairs.
• Effective verbal and written communication; team collaboration.
• Toolset adequate to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders.
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains clean work area and safe, orderly workspace.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
