Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is hiring an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain complex equipment with limited supervision. You’ll travel to job sites, train junior techs, and ensure accurate documentation, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

H.S. diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with schematics understanding.
Must own tools applicable to position.
Strong customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean.
Assist in training of lower level technicians.
Maintain paperwork/electronic work orders daily.
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
Other duties as needed.
