Job summary

TCI Transportation is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Baton Rouge team. The role targets technicians with 4–6+ years of diesel engine repair experience and requires on-call rotation with a weekday day-shift schedule and weekly pay.

Bring your technical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to safety to diagnose and repair truck and trailer equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to reliable service.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of diesel engine repair experience.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
• Ability to diagnose and repair listed systems with little supervision.
• Self-motivation, leadership, and attention to detail.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Commitment to safety, quality work, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair Truck and Trailer Equipment, with supervision as needed.
• Handle component replacement with careful workmanship.
• Apply technical expertise to diagnose/repair systems with minimal supervision: PTO, electrical, hydraulic, brakes, HVAC, instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment dependable and ready.
