Empower Rental Group is hiring a Shop Mechanic Level 3 in Macon, GA. The role focuses on preparing rental equipment for delivery, performing repairs, and continuing maintenance across our fleet.

You will interact with customers, handle service notes, and assist teammates with heavy lifting while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and owns basic tools.

Qualifications

• Over 3-5 years of experience.
• A Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive company vehicles may be required.
• Provide exceptional customer support during field visits.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Average computer skills are needed.
• Completes rental equipment preparation by the delivery date.
• Maintains a ready line and meets quality standards.
• Must have own basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with loading/unloading fleet orders.
• Make notes on rental tags.
• Assist customers with questions and service needs.
• Assist other mechanics with heavy lifting.
• Clean yard and shop areas.
• May perform repairs on the small fleet.
• Diagnose standard issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and troubleshooting methods.
• Complete standard and complex repairs and inspections.
• Carry out preventative maintenance (filters, fluids, tires).
• Maintain a safe work environment and support continuous improvement.
