Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in Augusta, GA. You will perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment, ensuring safety and quality. The role offers opportunities to advance toward senior technician and leadership positions within the Service Department.

You must have a High School diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of hands-on repair experience, own tools, and a valid driver's license. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
