Job summary
Waste Pro is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic A / Heavy-Duty Technician for our Fort Pierce, Florida operation. You’ll diagnose and repair heavy-duty fleets, work on Mack, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and Autocar trucks, and support preventive maintenance on industry‑leading equipment.
This senior-level role offers $35-$45 per hour with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. ASE-certified or master technician status is encouraged, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on heavy-duty diesel experience.
- Experience with Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel systems.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain.
- Ace ASE certifications or plan to obtain within 36 months.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty fleet.
- Work on Mack, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and Autocar trucks and bodies.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and emissions.
- Complete repairs per OEM specs and company standards.
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Maintain repair orders and safety standards.
- Respond to road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
