Job summary
Northwest Hardwoods (NWH) is seeking an experienced Heavy Machinery Maintenance Tech III to diagnose, maintain, repair, and service diesel-powered equipment across our sawmill and manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, keep equipment running safely, and support high-quality lumber production.
The role requires strong diesel mechanical skills, a hands-on work style, and a commitment to safety.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience.
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Flexible in work hours and capable of strenuous physical work.
- Must follow attendance policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering and drivetrains.
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, conveyors, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and safety compliance.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
