Job summary

Power Plus! has an opportunity in Akron, OH for Generator Service Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and test generators from 5 kw to 4000 kw, delivering best-in-class service to customers.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude with diesel generator experience and a customer-service approach. Qualified candidates will have technical schooling related to automotive/transportation and be willing to work varied shifts with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with diesel generator experience.
• Technical schooling in automotive, transportation or related fields is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends/holidays and on-call rotations.
• Operate heavy equipment, forklifts and cranes per OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and test 5kw–4000kw generator systems.
• Interact with customers to explain issues and solutions.
• Fill out paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Read and apply manuals, blueprints and schematics.
