Job summary

Fraley & Schilling (Maintenance) seeks an experienced diesel technician with 5+ years of verifiable commercial fleet maintenance to diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy truck systems. Proficiency with Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, or Bendix is required, along with trailer repair skills and welding on steel and aluminum.

Candidates should have PM services and federal DOT inspections experience; CDL is preferred for road tests.

Qualifications

5+ years of verifiable commercial diesel fleet maintenance experience.
Proficiency with diagnostic programs (Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, or Bendix).
Experience diagnosing, overhauling, and repairing major heavy truck systems.
Practical trailer repair skills including Conestoga systems and related components.
Welding ability on steel and aluminum.
PM services and federal DOT vehicle inspections, safely operating shop equipment.
Associate degree or diploma preferred; CDL preferred for road tests.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, overhaul and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics.
Perform comprehensive PM services and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles.
Conduct trailer repairs and related component replacements as needed.
Weld and fabricate as required for heavy truck and trailer systems.
Operate forklifts and shop cranes safely during maintenance tasks.
