Job summary
HERITAGE FORD INC in Modesto, CA seeks a Diesel & Automotive Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gasoline vehicles. You will work independently with strong diagnostic skills and mentor junior technicians.
Required are 5+ years of hands-on experience, knowledge of engines and electrical systems, and the ability to read manuals and schematics. ASE Master preferred; CDL beneficial. Competitive pay and benefits offered.
Qualifications
- Must have a diesel/automotive background with advanced diagnostic skills.
- ASE Master Technician certification preferred; CDL preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on diesel/automotive experience; strong reading of manuals/schematics.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in diesel and automotive systems.
- Perform advanced repairs on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and HVAC.
- Service diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, and after-treatment systems (DPF/ SCR/ DEF).
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and verify repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices.
