General Motors Manufacturing - USA is seeking qualified Die Maker Journeypersons to build, repair, remodel, and maintain dies. Work under minimal supervision with attention to safety per OSHA and GM procedures.

You will read blueprints, perform repairs, and fabricate using mills, lathes, grinders, and hand tools, including in-press repairs and die tryouts. This role requires six years of experience or a Department of Labor Die Maker certificate, 18+ years, and eligibility to work in the United

Qualifications

At least six years of related Die Maker experience or a U.S. Department of Labor certificate in the Die Maker trade.
Must be able to complete GM hiring process requirements including assessments, drug testing and background check.
18+ years of age and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

Follow OSHA and GM safety procedures; wear PPE as required.
Fabricate or repair dies for production; read blueprints to guide work.
Perform die repairs and fabrication with mills, lathes, grinders and hand tools.
Conduct die repairs in-press and die tryouts as needed.
Use calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers to measure and verify dies.
Operate hi-lo or overhead crane to move dies and heavy tooling.
Document data for the department; maintain records.
