Qualifications

• At least six (6) years of related experience as a Die Maker or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Die Maker trade.
• Must meet GM hiring process including assessments, drug test and background check.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including day, afternoon or night, with overtime on short notice.
• GM does not sponsor immigration for this role.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures per OSHA and company rules.
• Fabricate or repair dies for production; perform welding operations.
• Read blueprints to repair/fabricate dies.
• Use mills, lathes and grinders; perform die repair.
• Conduct in-press die repairs and die tryouts as required.
• Use calipers, gauge blocks, and micrometers for measurement.
