Job summary

Stellantis NV seeks a skilled Die Maker to analyze specifications, lay out stock, and set up machine tools to fabricate and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools. The role requires reading blueprints, testing dies, and ensuring precise tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra and physics.
• A minimum of 4 years of combined experience and training similar to that required in a bona fide apprenticeship program as a Die Maker; or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Die Maker; or eight (8) years of documented Die Maker experience; or five (5) years of documented Die Maker experience and three (3) years in a related trade.
• Experience as a Die Maker or Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Required
• Knowledge of G-Suite Preferred
• Ability to work shifts including daily, weekends and holidays; read blueprints, layouts; compute dimensions; set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools; fit and assemble parts; test dies; inspect dies; use measuring tools; design fixtures; select materials; operate drill presses; perform incidental tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan the sequence of operations and materials based on blueprints or specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools to cut, bore, grind or shape parts to prescribed dimensions.
• Test and inspect dies to ensure they match original design and function.
• Design jigs, fixtures and templates for fabrication processes.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to lay out machining operations and inspect finished work.
• Maintain communication and problem solve to ensure quality and on-time production.
