Job summary

Twin City Die Castings Company seeks a Senior Die Cast Process Engineer based in Minneapolis, MN, with travel to Monticello, MN, and Watertown, SD to lead process development and tooling for aluminum die casting.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong Foundry knowledge, and expertise in process optimization, thermal control, and data-driven problem solving, with strict ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of foundry methodologies and aluminum die casting.
• Experience in process development or manufacturing engineering related to aluminum die casting.
• Knowledge of casting dies, metal pouring, critical control parameters, part removal, deburring, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop die casting processes and tooling for new products.
• Lead die casting projects from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and production staff.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in die casting technology.
• Travel to other plants in Monticello, MN, and Watertown, SD to support manufacturing across the organization.
