Job summary

Fairview Hospital in Hawaii is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and biopsy ultrasound procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include patient positioning, selecting transducer settings, reviewing orders, image post-processing, and transmitting images to PACS.

You will assist radiologists during procedures, maintain equipment and supplies, and contribute to patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of post-graduate sonography experience or completed approved training program.
• Completion of recognized ultrasound training or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and biopsy ultrasound procedures under supervision and medical direction.
• Position patients, select transducer settings, review orders and collaborate with physicians.
• Post-process images, prepare final reports and transmit images to PACS.

Maintains equipment, supplies, and a clean environment, while providing compassionate patient care and education. Participates in emergency response, rotates facilities, mentors staff, and supports ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in general, breast, vascular, and obstetric imaging.
• Certifications in Abdomen, Breast, Vascular, and Obstetrics by ARDMS.
• Associate degree is preferred.
