Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years experience in electronics or imaging equipment service.
• Requires 3 years experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Diagnostic Imaging equipment service issues.
• Direct repairs and guide resources to resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot network, equipment, and operator issues affecting performance.
• Provide direction to radiological engineers regarding equipment malfunctions and corrective actions.
• Maintain imaging equipment functionality, performance, and image quality control.
• Coordinate and oversee activities between service vendors and Diagnostic Imaging.
• Assist with the analysis and implementation of service contracts.
• Ensure service vendors meet established service contract obligations.
• Identify operator errors and provide instructions and feedback to operators.
• Provide follow-up and recommend resolutions for Quality Control (QC) issues.
• Oversee Quality Control resolution activities to support imaging quality standards.
• Maintain parts and instrumentation inventory.
• Review design, construction, and electrical drawings through visual interpretation of blueprints and product specifications.
• Support technical evaluation of equipment and infrastructure requirements.
• Evaluate equipment purchases and procurement decisions.
• Assist with commissioning and implementation of new equipment.
• Provide clinical systems network support and assist with ongoing development initiatives.
