Job summary

Ericsson in Austin, TX seeks a Senior DFX Engineer to lead silicon lifecycle strategies and DFT/SLM implementations across multiple ASIC programs. You will drive architecture, verification, and field telemetry efforts while collaborating with EDA vendors and CAD teams.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-assisted debugging, and mentoring junior engineers to scale the team for future programs. This is an on-site position based in Austin.

Qualifications

• Experience with DFX standards and practices, ATPG, Scan, JTAG, iJTAG, and BIST.
• Experience with SOC level DFT planning, architecture, and execution.
• Knowledge of IEEE 1149.x, 1687, and 1838 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen a world-class DFX & SLM group as the technical authority for silicon lifecycle management.
• Architect, plan, design/implement & verify DFT and SLM across multiple ASIC programs from chip spec to tape-out sign-off.
• Extend silicon lifecycle capability in the field including in-system test and telemetry.
• Partner with Test Team to define overall Test Strategy.
• Collaborate with Physical Design, EDA Vendors, and CAD teams to define next-gen DFT/SLM flows.
• Apply AI as a tool to automate flows, speed up debug, and extract insights from telemetry.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive scalable methodology.
