Job summary

Zap Energy is seeking a Senior Design for Manufacturing Engineer to ensure manufacturability and producibility of the ZMR design. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Design for Manufacturing & Producibility: influence geometry, tolerances, materials, joining processes early.
• Lead up-front design-to-cost and cost-reduction efforts across ZMR components.
• Recommend tooling and process strategy as design inputs, including fixturing implications.
• Inform design for volume and manufacturability at scale, with FOAK producibility focus.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, testing and integration teams for producibility and cost insights.
• Quality assurance within a graded program and drive right-sized, producible solutions.
