Job summary

Crusoe is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Developer Experience (DevX) team. You will empower Crusoe engineers by building tools and infrastructure across the SDLC, from local development to CI/CD pipelines, while focusing on speed, safety, and quality.

You will influence technical direction, collaborate with the DevX team, and help align computing with climate goals as the company scales engineering efforts and infrastructure globally.

Qualifications

• Experience building developer tools or infrastructure for engineering teams.
• Technical decision-making for infrastructure tradeoffs affecting developer productivity.
• Fluent with modern tooling for AI, build tooling, containerization, and open-source frameworks.
• Empathy for developer/operator workflows to maximize productivity.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Proven DevOps/SRE/Release engineering background focusing on reliability.
• Strong understanding of automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD integration.
• Expertise in Go and Git-based workflows (GitHub/GitLab).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Toil elimination: automate repetitive tasks to keep engineers productive.
• Library and environment creation for vetting APIs and microservice interactions.
• Ecosystem integration to unify internal tooling and vendor services.
• Lifecycle innovation across code management, builds, reviews, CI/CD, runtimes, telemetry.
• Culture of quality to scale engineering headcount and infrastructure.
• System optimization to build efficient processes and multiply engineering impact.
