Job summary

Smith Johnson Group is seeking an experienced software tester to join our Quality Assurance team in the Lansing area. The candidate will develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business and system requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevSecOps practices and technologies.
• Experience using Microsoft DevOps, specifically managing test cases and test plans.
• Experience working with customers to develop acceptance criteria for existing concepts.
• Bachlors Degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and system requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing for web-based applications.
• Review requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects; work with developers and business teams toward resolution.
• Create and maintain test data and validate results against requirements.
• Coordinate testing activities across projects and provide testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations to teams and management.
