Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions seeks a Software Test Analyst III to join our Lansing, MI team on a hybrid schedule (3 days remote / 2 days onsite) to support the LAMBS modernization project. The QA Analyst will help ensure quality across testing activities and collaborate with business testers and developers.

The role involves creating test plans, executing functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT tests, maintaining test data, and producing reports, meeting minutes, and QA deliverables.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in DevSecOps practices and technologies.
• Prior experience as a tester or with testing tools preferred.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and system requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing for web-based applications.
• Review business and technical requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable.
• Identify, document, track, and retest application defects and work closely with developers and business teams through resolution.
• Create and maintain test data and validate application results against business requirements.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design sessions, project meetings, and system walkthroughs.
• Coordinate testing activities across projects and provide testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations to project teams and management.
• Assist with production validation, application releases, upgrades, and change-management activities.
• Maintain QA documentation, testing evidence, defect logs, and other project documentation according to established standards.
• Recommend improvements to QA processes, testing methodologies, tools, and automation opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior QA analysts and other team members.
• Work with developers, business analysts, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure applications meet functional and quality requirements.
• Ensure testing activities comply with organizational security, development, documentation, and quality standards
• Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot reported issues, and perform other related duties, as assigned

Title: Software Test Analyst III Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid Schedule - 3-days remote/2-days onsite per week) Note: This is a W2 contract role - C2C, 1099, and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered This position will serve as the Quality Assurance Analyst, supporting the LAMBS project, which focuses on modernizing legacy desktop applications by transitioning them from outdated technologies, including VB6 and .NET 3.5, to a modern web-based platform. The Test Analyst will assist with all testing activities within the Quality Assurance Team, facilitating communication with business test representatives and ensuring that critical test issues are addressed or escalated as needed. Additionally, this role involves producing reports, presentations, and meeting minutes related to quality assurance testing tasks and deliverables.
