Job summary

TeamSoft in Lansing, MI seeks a Senior Software Test Analyst to drive test strategy, execution, and defect management for web platforms under a 1-year hybrid contract. Local candidates within 100 miles are required; on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays with two days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts for web platforms.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: identify, document, track, and retest defects with QA tools.
• Requirement Analysis: review requirements to ensure clarity and testability; participate in reviews and walkthroughs.
• Data & QA Documentation: create test data, validate outputs, maintain QA evidence and logs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: act as a bridge among developers, analysts, PMs, and vendors.
• Process Improvement & Mentorship: propose automation opportunities and guide junior QA analysts.
• Release & Support: assist with production validation, releases, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Title: Senior Software Test Analyst (Software Test Analyst 3)

Location: Lansing, MI 48933 (Local candidates ONLY – must reside within 100 miles at the time of submission)

Work Model: Hybrid (2 Days Onsite per week – Tuesdays & Wednesdays are required; No 100% remote option)

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on functional and technical requirements. Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for web-based platforms.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, track, and retest application defects using QA tools. Collaborate closely with developers and business representatives through defect resolution.
• Requirement Analysis: Review business and technical requirements to ensure they are complete, clear, and fully testable. Participate in requirement reviews, design sessions, and system walkthroughs.
• Data & QA Documentation: Create and maintain test data, validate application outputs against business logic, and maintain QA evidence, logs, and standards compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between developers, business analysts, project managers, and external vendors to ensure applications meet organizational security and quality standards.
• Process Improvement & Mentorship: Recommend testing automation opportunities, refine QA methodologies, and offer technical guidance to junior QA analysts.
• Release & Support: Assist with production validation, application releases, upgrades, change management, and ongoing application troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• DevSecOps Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on professional experience with DevSecOps practices and technologies.
• Testing Background: Proven background as a Software Tester / QA Analyst with familiarity in testing tools and frameworks (Web Application Testing experience required).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with both technical developers and business stakeholders.
