Job summary

RPMGlobal in Reston, VA seeks a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure software delivery pipelines for classified mission environments.

You will integrate security throughout the development lifecycle, enabling high-quality, secure software delivery. Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins, creating IaC templates with CloudFormation for AWS GovCloud, and guiding teams on STIG compliance and vulnerability remediation.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• 10+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience delivering DevSecOps services across multiple classified domains.
• Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash in a Linux environment (RHEL/Oracle Linux).
• Understanding of AWS capabilities (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and secure cloud architecture.
• Certification meeting DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated solutions across multiple classification environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins with security scanning and STIG validation.
• Provide expert guidance on pipeline troubleshooting and DevSecOps best practices.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates using CloudFormation for AWS GovCloud, C2S, TC2S.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and security compliance practices.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting by analyzing logs and performing root cause analysis.
• Promote best practices and maintain technical documentation.
