Job description

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Team Lead).

Do you have experience leading platform engineering teams, building certificate automation capabilities, and designing scalable, secure DevSecOps solutions using cloud providers and container orchestration?

Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!

What You Will Be Doing

In this role within the operational excellence team, you will serve as the technical lead for a four‑person DevSecOps team. You will own the architecture for automated certificate lifecycle management, including discovery, issuance, renewal, rotation, and revocation. You will set technical standards around reliability engineering, observability, and operational readiness. Partnering directly with the client’s internal lead, you will make critical technical decisions, diagnose environment‑specific blockers, and ensure successful delivery. You will manage and prioritize the engineering backlog, review work, unblock issues, and establish documentation standards to ensure knowledge transfer beyond the engagement. This is a contract role with a primary focus on delivering robust, scalable, and secure automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end architecture for automated certificate lifecycle management, designing templated solutions consumable by other teams.
  • Establish and uphold standards for reliability engineering, including zero‑downtime deployment, self‑healing, and observability practices.
  • Collaborate directly with the client’s internal lead to align technical approaches with existing patterns and constraints.
  • Diagnose and resolve environment‑specific blockers across cloud and on‑premises environments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers, managing the backlog and maintaining high velocity.
  • Develop documentation and knowledge transfer materials to preserve capability continuity.
  • Design and implement scalable, fault‑tolerant infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  • Develop advanced CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, XLR, Ansible, and Chef.
  • Implement operational readiness strategies involving chaos engineering, incident command, and risk mitigation.
  • Establish logging, alerting, and dashboarding standards utilizing tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Lead security and certificate management efforts including PKI, OpenSSL, and CA integrations.
  • Apply scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or PowerShell to automate tasks and algorithms efficiently.
  • Maintain awareness of ITSM practices, operational governance, and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of full-stack architecture, including front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in CI/CD toolchains, automation, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, observability, and operational readiness.
  • Proficiency with security and PKI concepts, including certificate lifecycle and key management.
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Go, with good algorithms and data structures fundamentals.
  • Experience with networking concepts, load balancers, firewalls, and routing.
  • Relevant education in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience leading enterprise‑scale DevSecOps initiatives in regulated or financial environments.
  • Prior involvement in setting up shared‑service capabilities for multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of certificate or PKI automation at scale.
  • Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or similar.
