Job description

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Senior DevSecOps Engineer.

Do you have experience building automation for certificate lifecycle management and developing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and SonarQube?

Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!

What You Will Be Doing:

As a senior DevSecOps engineer within a four-person pod, you will partner closely with the client’s internal team to automate and manage certificate lifecycles, ensuring security and reliability. You will design and implement repeatable, secure, and production-ready automation processes across diverse environments. Your responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines, implementing zero-downtime rotations, and establishing self-healing system behaviors. You will lead incident triage and root-cause analysis, troubleshoot upstream pipeline issues, and adapt automation patterns to various environments. Additionally, you’ll document best practices and transfer knowledge seamlessly to the client’s engineers. This is a 6-month contract position with potential growth into additional SRE responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain automation workflows for certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, and revocation across multiple environments.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and configuration-as-code to deploy automation consistently across teams.
  • Implement zero-downtime rotation strategies, self-healing behaviors, and monitoring/alerting systems to proactively surface issues.
  • Lead incident triage and conduct root-cause analysis for automation and infrastructure issues.
  • Adapt automation patterns to environment-specific realities and document solutions for knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with the client’s team to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Support security-hardening practices and PKI management, including Venafi, ECMS, and OpenSSL.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to distributed systems, load balancing, networking, and cloud/infrastructure environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3-5+ years of DevSecOps and platform engineering experience with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with containerization and Kubernetes expertise.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, load balancing, capacity planning, and observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
  • Solid experience managing PKI, certificate lifecycle, Venafi/ECMS, OpenSSL, and related security protocols.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, proxies, F5 load balancers, and FTP/SFTP.
  • Programming and scripting skills in Python, Shell, PowerShell, Groovy, or Go.
  • Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, Cassandra, or Redis, and SQL proficiency.
  • Operational governance familiarity within ITIL framework.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Certificate or PKI automation experience at enterprise scale.
  • Exposure to financial services or regulated environments.
  • Chaos engineering practices or production-readiness experience.
Pay:

$63.00 – $90.00 /hr

Keywords: DevSecOps, certificate automation, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, PKI, Jenkins, Ansible, security-hardening, regulated industries
