Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join the Airborne Solutions Business Area. The role focuses on integrating security into development and ensuring compliance across programs.

You will collaborate with program leadership and cybersecurity teams, manage secure environments, and support incident response. A strong background in federal security standards and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or 10+ years with an M.S.
Residency in north Alabama or willingness to relocate to the area.
Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, PenTest+.
Advanced cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure).
Security integration and RMF/CMMC in classified/unclassified environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical representative between program leadership and cybersecurity stakeholders.
Analyze and understand cybersecurity requirements and communicate impact.
Implement cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Research security trends and advise on mitigation methods.
Design, implement, and maintain secure development environments.
Perform and coordinate tasks to ensure compliance.
Create and maintain artifacts for cybersecurity policies and evidence of compliance.
System administration tasks including access control, software updates, monitoring, hardening, and remediation.
Respond to and mitigate security incidents and threats.
Provide technical cybersecurity support to programs.
