Job summary

TEKsystems in Reston, VA is seeking a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and IaC across AWS environments.

You will lead security integration, perform root-cause analysis, and guide junior engineers while ensuring STIG compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

This fully onsite contract offers $85-105/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly.
• 5+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role.
• Expert experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud).
• Strong scripting languages (Python, Bash) in a Linux environment (RHEL, Oracle Linux, or similar).
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with Tier 1-3 customer support and ticketing systems (GitLab Service Desk, ServiceNow).
• Experience delivering DevSecOps services across multiple classified domains.
• Strong knowledge of AWS capabilities and secure cloud architecture; familiarity with other clouds a plus.
• Hands-on experience with STIG compliance and SRG implementation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and implement automatic technical solutions across multiple environments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines from scratch in GitLab CI and Jenkins with integrated security scanning and STIG validation.
• Create and maintain IaC templates using CloudFormation for secure DevSecOps infrastructure in AWS environments.
• Lead troubleshooting by analyzing logs, performing root cause analysis, and crafting mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert security guidance on secure coding, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support.
• Architect and build secure containerized solutions with Docker and OpenShift, guiding teams on best practices.
• Perform code reviews and knowledge sharing while maintaining technical documentation.
