Job summary

Omni Federal in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead secure software delivery for our intelligence customer. You will enhance enterprise platforms, deploy updates, and drive production readiness in a cloud-enabled, highly automated environment.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a STEM degree, DoDD 8140 compliance, and hands-on work with IaC, CI/CD, and IDAM integrations. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and strong documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years' relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• Meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification).
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining cloud and modeling platforms using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment.
• Experience AaC via CI/CD in a cloud-based environment.
• Ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience integrating applications with workflow or ticketing or automation platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, and/or OIDC.
• Demonstrated experience building comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing and validation.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Experience with basic DevOps Tooling (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise platform enhancements, deployments and production readiness.

We are seeking a strong Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our intelligence customer in supporting enterprise platform enhancements, deployments and production readiness. Requirements:

• 10 years' relevant experience.




• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required. Specific skills include the following:




• At a minimum, meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)




• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining cloud and modeling platforms using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environmentExpertise configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications as AaC through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)




• Ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor




• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills




• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g. Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB)




• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex issues




• Experience integrating applications with workflow, case or ticketing, or automation platforms such as ServiceNow or custom-built systems




• Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, and/or OIDC




• Demonstrated experience with building comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing and validation




• Strong documentation skills




• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy




• Experience and comfort with basic DevOps Tooling (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab)

• Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains




• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining COTS applications/tools systems engineering experience (configuring/deploying AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment)




• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining IBM




• Enterprise Lifecycle as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment




• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining SharePoint as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment




• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining Tableau as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment




• Experience with maintaining API Gateways, catalogs in a cloud-based environment




• Experience developing cross domain capabilitiesOther Cloud experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)




• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
