Job summary
RTX in Woburn, MA is seeking a Principal DevOps Tools Engineer to design, implement, and support DevOps solutions for key programs.
The role focuses on automating build/test pipelines, integrating tools, and ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
Candidates will collaborate with engineering teams, help modernize software delivery, and ensure system reliability and compliance across toolchains.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent; 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Linux system administration experience.
- Experience installing and supporting server-based DevOps tools (Jira, Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, IBM Rational products, and Microsoft Azure DevOps Server).
- Experience working in development teams using Agile concepts and methodologies.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, implement, and support DevSecOps software solutions for programs.
- Customize tools; develop templates, dashboards, and scripts.
- Assist build/test pipeline automation across cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Maximize performance and reliability with automated testing and mitigations.
- Develop fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans for tooling.
- Document DevOps environments with procedures and program profiles.
