Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for its Illustrations Platform Team in Newport Beach. You’ll advance CI/CD, deployment automation, and platform reliability while collaborating with Security and Infrastructure. The role blends software engineering with platform operations and security ownership.

You will work with .NET, C#, Azure DevOps, and Windows-based deployments, ensuring high availability for life insurance illustration processes and partner integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with C#/.NET.
• 3+ years administering Azure DevOps with pipelines, releases, repositories, and deployment automation.
• Strong Git experience, including branching strategies and governance.
• Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or application support for production apps.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, release orchestration, deployment automation, and build engineering for web, desktop, and APIs.
• Own source control strategy and governance across the Illustrations Platform, including Git administration and branching standards.
• Coordinate production deployments with scheduled windows and post-deployment health checks.
• Serve as senior technical responder for production incidents with RCA and corrective actions.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, and security posture in collaboration with Security and Infrastructure teams.
