Job summary

GCH Technologies seeks an experienced DevOps Prime to own and oversee the DevOps function across the US SCR, UBID, and RBM platform portfolio. You will ensure health, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure while coordinating with Intive and CyberCommand vendors.

You will set the technical direction for CI/CD, IaC, observability, identity, and operational readiness, with a path to grow an in-house DevOps team as the footprint expands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/SRE or platform engineering
• Experience directing DevOps work by external vendors
• Hands-on AWS experience (IAM, VPC, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda)
• Experience with IdP integrations (SAML/OIDC)
• IaC background (Terraform preferred)
• Proven CI/CD ownership at scale

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical direction to DevOps resources and ensure alignment with architecture, security, and standards
• Define scopes of work, deliverables, and acceptance criteria for vendor-led infra and DevOps initiatives
• Review vendor outputs (Terraform, pipelines, runbooks, IaC) for quality before production
• Track contractor utilization and surface gaps or overrun to engineering leadership
• Own the AWS footprint across SCR, UBID, and RBM (API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure-as-code standards and ensure reproducible environments
• Drive cost visibility and optimization across environments with regular reporting
• Own cloud security posture with IAM, network controls, secrets management, and CTIA-related compliance
