Job description

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (in Windows) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a cloud platform for business spend management (BSM) that helps organizations manage their spending, procurement, invoicing, expenses, and supplier relationships. They provide a unified, cloud-based spend management platform that connects hundreds of organizations representing the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with millions of suppliers globally. The platform provides greater visibility into and control over how companies spend money. Small, medium, and large customers have used the platform to bring billions of dollars in cumulative spending under management. The company offers a comprehensive platform that helps organizations manage their spending, procurement, invoicing, expenses, and supplier relationships. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in San Mateo, California, they aim to streamline and optimize business processes, driving efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform or adjacent tools such as Terragrunt and Pulumi.
  • Solid experience in automation development in Chef as a configuration management tool.
  • Solid knowledge of PowerShell language and tool-making development.
  • Experience with Microsoft stack, including Windows Server, IIS, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with GitOps workflows and coding principles.
  • Understanding artifact repositories deployment, configuration, and management.
  • Knowledge of GitHub actions/workflows.
  • A solid understanding of networking systems and protocols.
  • Understanding of massive-scale public or private cloud operations, automation, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud/SaaS architecture using AWS and/or Azure platforms.
  • The ability to own and deliver projects and issues to resolution.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and in writing).
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise to an operations team to manage the cloud’s reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Build upon the high standards of cloud operations through an automation-first philosophy, collective ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Develop strong relationships with engineering, performance, support, and success teams to improve the cloud’s reliability, performance, availability, and security.
  • Administer Windows servers in a massive-scale public cloud environment.
  • Develop new automation and administration tools.
  • Deploy product releases and maintenance updates.
  • Evaluate, specify, implement, and support performance and availability monitoring tools.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
