Job summary

SAP is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate large-scale infrastructure using Terraform and IaC. You will work across AWS, Azure, and GCP, shaping secure, scalable cloud environments and collaborating with internal product teams.

Required: 5+ years in Ansible automation, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure, plus strong Python and Bash scripting, and experience with CI/CD and RBAC. This role requires a security-minded delivery and clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, release and maintain large-scale infrastructure-as-code automation primarily using Ansible and IaC tooling.
• Environment involves AWS, Azure and/or GCP and Linux.
• Translate complex infrastructure and software requirements into well-scoped technical plans and documentation.
• Use GitLab with multiple repositories to maintain customer infrastructure and create merge requests for changes.
• Leverage generative AI tools to increase engineering efficiency, improve accuracy, enhance security posture, and optimize resource management.
• Deploy infrastructure using Terraform, Docker and/or Kubernetes and maintain IaC modules.
• Collaborate with product teams to define requirements and deliver scalable, repeatable IaC solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation on automation released to operations teams and customers.
• Develop SOPs, knowledge base articles, bullets, and other docs in support of infrastructure.
• Operate with a security-first mindset across responsibilities.
• Implement monitoring, config management, and logging across multi-tenant cloud infra across providers.
