Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The role involves migrating applications from On-premise / AWS to Azure, and enhancing software delivery performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a straightforward attitude, be comfortable challenging the status quo, and continually seek improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Implementation and management of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment automation.
3. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
4. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Azure Kubernetes and Docker.
5. Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure cloud resource and application health.
6. Identify opportunities to optimize resources, improve performance, and reduce costs through system metrics analysis.
7. Automate operational tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
8. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards in collaboration with security teams.
9. Provide Level 2 application support, including deploying fixes and updates.
10. Contribute to the improvement and maturity of tools and processes.

Requirements:

1. 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Azure Cloud Senior DevOps Engineer.
2. Strong understanding of cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
3. Deep knowledge of CI/CD, configuration management, and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, and Terraform.
4. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
6. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as DataDog.
7. Solid understanding of networking and security in cloud environments.
8. Experience migrating systems to Azure.
9. Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
10. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years in programming.
3. 2+ years using build and deployment tools like Docker.
4. 1+ years in DevOps automation.
5. Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 / Azure Developer Associate AZ-204 / DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certifications.
6. Azure DevOps Security (AZ-500) certification preferred.
