Job summary

Omni Federal seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain automated cloud infrastructure supporting DoD applications. The role emphasizes IaC, security integration, and scalable cloud operations across AWS/Azure in a remote setting with quarterly travel.

Candidates should have a TS clearance, DoD 8570 baseline, and 6+ years of cloud experience, plus strong scripting and automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Eligible for DCSA Personnel Assurance Program enrollment.
• CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT Level II minimum).
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 6+ years of cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• IaC development using Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable tools.
• Automated provisioning, deployment, configuration, scaling, and recovery of cloud resources.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain automated cloud infrastructure for DoD workloads.
• Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and automated testing processes.
• Administer cloud-native services and integrate security controls across a large AWS/Azure environment.
• Automate routine operational tasks, provisioning, access controls, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
