Job summary

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide Site Reliability engineering across automation services and infrastructure code.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Management division, you will monitor CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible. Candidates with cloud, container, and observability experience will thrive in a fast-paced public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science from an accredited university.
• At least 3 years in IT management or supervisory roles.
• Strong DevOps and SRE experience including automation and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and dashboards; triage issues.
• Write/update Terraform and Ansible modules and YAML configs.
• Perform smoke testing and validate deployments in dev/staging environments.
• Participate in design sessions and code reviews; build expertise in Linux, Git, IaC, and observability.
• Maintain runbooks, wiki, deployment guides, and incident documentation.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.
