Job summary

State of Louisiana is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer within the Architecture, Standards & Platform group to design, build, and support automated infrastructure and software delivery solutions. The role focuses on IaC, CI/CD, and container platforms to enable standardized, repeatable delivery across agencies.

You will design and maintain IaC using Terraform, OpenTofu, and Bicep, develop reusable deployment patterns, and drive secure, reliable application delivery while collaborating

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps platform engineering and automation.
• Ability to design scalable, secure deployment patterns and pipelines.
• Proficiency with modern cloud technologies and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document automation across the DevOps toolchain.
• Create reusable templates, runbooks, and golden paths for teams to adopt.
• Implement secure-by-default delivery automation and environment standards.
• Troubleshoot pipelines, deployments, and environments; perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with platform owners to align with enterprise standards and long-term maintainability.
