Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to join a Dutch managed services setup. You will troubleshoot incidents in large-scale Kubernetes environments, automate deployments, and maintain cluster lifecycles.

You will work directly with customers to deploy workloads and participate in on-call rotations after onboarding. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes, strong Linux skills, and practical GitOps experience with ArgoCD, Helm, and Cilium.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes production experience.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and systematic troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitOps practices using ArgoCD, Helm, and Cilium.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in production Kubernetes clusters on-premises and at scale.
• Deploy, upgrade, and maintain cluster lifecycle; automate and improve the platform through GitOps.
• Collaborate with customers to deploy workloads, diagnose problems, and join the on-call rotation after onboarding.

• Running managed Kubernetes services for a Dutch managed services provider on their own infrastructure.
• Workload growing faster than current capacity can handle, so two senior engineers are joining.
• First priority is learning the environment quickly to take real work off the team.

Role – how you'll contribute:

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in production Kubernetes clusters on-premises and at scale.
• Deploy, upgrade, and maintain cluster lifecycle, improving the platform through automation and GitOps.
• Work directly with customers to deploy workloads and diagnose problems, and join on-call rotation after onboarding.

Qualifications – the experience you need:

• 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience including running and debugging production clusters.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and systematic troubleshooting.
• GitOps in practice (preferably ArgoCD), Helm, Kubernetes networking (Cilium) and storage.
