Job summary

Sunayu, LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead a DevOps team responsible for a full stack containerized microservices architecture. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade infrastructure, collaborating across SE, architecture, development, and security teams, and guiding Agile ceremonies in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01M IAT II or higher, and extensive Kubernetes experience, including Helm and GitLab

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, CISSP or equivalent).
Experience with Kubernetes and troubleshooting (Ingress/Gateway API, Helm chart design/build, Pod disruption budgets, affinity/anti-affinity).
GitLab CI/CD pipeline development including code quality and test reports integration.
Linux expertise including SELinux and sysctls in K8s environments.
Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) proficiency.
Product Owner or Agile team experience with backlog management and Scrum facilitation.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have: Bash/PowerShell, SALT, Python, Java; production/enterprise systems; additional tools like Kafka, Prometheus, Nexus.

Responsibilities

Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Enhance CI/CD scripts and DevOps processes for faster, more reliable deployments.
Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical/virtual environments.
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers on feature design and documentation.
Own and prioritize the Agile team backlog; align with business priorities.
Support SAFe PI planning and manage work items and documentation.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and monitor progress to resolve risks and impediments.
