Job summary

Onyx Government Services is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead GitLab CI/CD implementation for enterprise data warehouse migration from Oracle to cloud platforms. You will design automated deployment processes, integrate DevOps best practices, and train team members. Security clearance: BI or NACLC Public Trust required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps engineering.
• Hands-on experience implementing GitLab CI/CD in enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud migration, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Strong Git workflows, branching strategies, merge requests, and repository management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade GitLab CI/CD pipelines for Oracle-to-cloud migrations.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes for data warehouse components and cloud infra.
• Develop CI/CD frameworks and standards for consistent deployment across environments.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, security scanning, and approvals into pipelines.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to enable continuous delivery of cloud data solutions.
• Use IaC tools to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
• Troubleshoot and optimize pipeline performance and security.
• Document best practices and operational guidelines for GitLab adoption.
• Provide hands-on training and mentoring on GitLab CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
